In the first half, you're playing in the northern region of the country and the southern half is inaccessible.
The game is divided into two primary segments. Multiple that by a factor of four or five if you want to play without boosting. The online achievements, however, will require a dedicated boosting partner and around 100 hours of boosting, if you want to get them quickly. You can get all the offline achievements in a single playthrough of the single player campaign taking around 40 hours if you use a map for the collectibles.
